6/23/10 3:20 p.m. Talked to Kent Bateman with Bateman Farms and he has no way
of tracking his water. He does not know where to put a meter and he is using
this water for several different uses, that are hard to meter. DD
1/18/11 Email sent from Kent Batemen to me:
As you may recall, I contacted you last year explaining the complexity of our
dairy operation in that we have a well that provides water for our employee
homes, shop use, all dairy uses including washing of the milking barn as well
as flushing of the parlor, and cooling of the milk. This well also provides
all water for drinking purposes for the 870 milking cows and approximately 700
heifers of various sizes.
The complexity of our water distribution is compounded by our inability to
measure this water in it's various uses and therefore it becomes most
difficult for us to comply with your request.
