**** 2018 **** 1 Well pumps water for cooling purposes at the city center.
**** 2021 **** This report covers the City Center Well which provides
non-contact heating and cooling water for the current Provo City
Administration Building.
**** 2022 **** The City Center Well has been utilized for many years to
provide non-contact heating and cooling water for the Provo City Center
building in downtown Provo. A new city center has been constructed and
occupied and as of early January 2023 the well has not been pumped.
Demolition of the old city center is underway and we are protecting the well
head for possible future use in the culinary system.
**** 2024 **** This well was taken out of service for the demolition of the
old Provo City Hall. There are currently no immediate plans to activate the
well.
