System Comments

(1987-1989) No data was entered due to inconsistency.
(1999) New master water meters were installed in the fall of 1998. When they
were read in 1999, they were not working. At this time they have been
repaired and reinstalled.
(2000) Master meters are read only on the first of April and the first of
October to coincide with the water rights allowed from the spring and the
agreement with the irrigation company.

(2010) 3/1/2011 Received an email after asking about water pulled from source
vs what was reported for uses:
I'm sorry that I forgot to submit the population data for the Glenwood Town
water report. Our population for 2010 is 430 people.
About the water for sources. I can see that our master meters are not working
properly, so the data in the report is incorrect. Actually our water source -
the spring produced last year about 4200 acre-feet per year. Glenwood Town
takes the water needed first - which is metered with master meters and with
individual meters. The remainder of the water goes through the Utah State fish
hatchery and then into the irrigation system.
I checked my numbers - the total amount of water that is used by Glenwood Town
connections is 19,095,015 gallons. Divided up this is 55,990 gallons for farm
connections, 1,677,100 gallons for commercial connections, 1,465,385 gallons
for institutional connections and 15,896,540 gallons residential connections.

Staring April 1, we began reading these meters monthly.
Before April 1 is a average of the three month reading.
**** 2024 **** Master meters stopped working some time in September.
September master meter readings through December are estimated from previous
years.
We do not read the individual house meters from October to February, so no
additional readings we made from the individual meters.
We have made plans and ordered the new master metering equipment.
This equipment should be installed in April 2025.
**** 2025 **** Master meters have not been working in 2025.
The master meters were replaced in November 2025.
Numbers above are monthly estimated, but the total is correct from the
individual meter readings.
