I don’t know how many acres are irrigated in Salem
**** 2019 **** The City has a small number of meters currently in place.
Beginning this year, the City will begin to install meters city-wide.
**** 2020 **** The City is currently working to install secondary meters;
however, they are not yet being used to track usage.
**** 2021 **** A small fraction of total customers are metered. The reported
metered usage for 2021 is only a portion of the total. Salem is currently
working to install meters for all connections.

This is water supplied to the Salem pressurized irrigation system through
crossovers and via supplements to their PI ponds during periods when the High
Line Canal is not operating. Crossover water was estimated by measuring 45
irrigated acres served by crossovers and assuming 4 acre-feet per irrigated
acre over the irrigation season.
**** 2021 ****
Customer meter data was used to determine typical usage per lot. This level
of typical usage was extrapolated to all users served by crossover
connections from the drinking water system.
**** 2022 ****
This includes all culinary water added to east and west ponds as well as all
areas supplied by culinary water through RPZ crossover connections.
