Timp. irrigation season extends through roughly July 25. The consumptive use requirement
is, therefore, 15.37 inches or 1.28 feet. To prevent enlargement of the right when
changing from surface to underground, 15.37/24.84 inches = 61.85% of the full-season
diversion is required and 61.85% of 3.00 AF/acre = 1.855 AF/acre. This is the
appropriate value to use for surface to underground changes.



Otherwise, for surface to surface changes, it is more appropriate to use a percentage of
the available flow rate (i.e. # of shares / 3000 x 100 % )
