Revised: May 26 2016
The Division of Water Rights uses Geographic Information System (GIS)
technology to manage water right information. Specifically the Division
uses ArcGIS software. Links available from this
page allow downloading of GIS data and/or output products for use on
your own system. In general you must have some type of GIS software to
use this information.
Topo Maps and Photos
The division used to maintain a set set of scanned topographic maps at different
map scales. We now refer you to the State's GIS Portal for this resource.
Water Right Maps
The Division produces several maps of use to people who work with water
rights. These maps have been captured in
Adobe Acrobat format and are available for downloading and printing.
Water Right Coverages and Related Tables
The Division provides shapefiles of water right related information
for download. The shapefiles are in self-extracting (.exe) files. Other Water Right
data from the Division's databases can also be downloaded to create related
database tables for spatial information using links on the
GIS Data and Related Tables page.
