Parowan Valley Groundwater Management Plan

The State Engineer is working to develop a groundwater management plan in Parowan Valley. During this process, this web page will be used to share information with Parowan Valley water users. Here we will post information about the hydrology of Parowan Valley, the current water rights in the area, announcements of public meetings to be held, the material shared during previous public meetings, comments we receive from Parowan Valley water users, and other information. Groundwater management plans are created and regulated under Statute 73-5-15 of Utah state law.

Public Meetings & Public Comments

During this process we will be holding public meetings to present data and solicit public comment. The development and adoption of a plan will be a very public process and will require input from the water community. Public comments can be found on the webpages for the meetings listed below.
Groundwater Management Plan Committee

A group of water users in Parowan Valley have formed a committee to assist in the development of a groundwater management plan. The committee has asked the State Engineer to post the committee's meeting agendas and minutes to this website. The committee encourages the public to attend committee meetings.
