Online Application Filing and Payment

  1. Prepare your application form with signature, and supporting documents, in a PDF file.
  2. Fill in the Filing and Payment Contact Information below.
  3. Upload your application and supporting documents as a single PDF file, not to exceed 25 MB.  
    If your PDF file is larger than 25 MB, upload the Application Form only.  Then, contact the Division of Water Rights at 801-538-7240 to make arrangements to send your remaining documents.
  4. Check the certification/acknowledgement box, and then click "Continue".
  5. You will receive an email message with instructions to verify your email address.  The application is not considered "accepted" until email verification is done.
  6. Once you have verified your email address, your application will be assigned an ID number for your records, and your application will be reviewed for completeness.
  7. When your application is reviewed, and the submission criteria is considered to be "complete", you will receive an email message with instructions to make your application processing payment.
  8. The application is not considered to be filed until payment is received.
  9. After submitting your payment, you will receive an email message confirming your payment, including a link to view/print your receipt.

The upload file size is limited to 25 MB.  If your PDF file exceeds this limit, you may upload the Application Form alone.
Then contact the Division of Water Rights at 801-538-7409 to make arrangements to supply any additional required documents.
When contacting the Division of Water Rights, please reference the order number or receipt number that will be given after payment is confirmed.
