Based on errors observed in the water rights listed, water right 65-3400 was removed
from the list below and replaced with water right 65-3180 as the correct right.  ”Manti
Irrigation and Reservoir Company” owns water rights on Six Mile Creek an other sources
for Palisade Reservoir.  ”Manti Irrigation Company” a separate company, owns Water Right
65-3400 and many other smaller rights from Manti City Creek drainage, not Six Mile Creek
Drainage.  This info is from the Cox Decree on respective rights.



Shares in Manti Irrigation and Reservoir Company are ~1/3 ac-ft of storage water
delivered from Palisade Reservoir when full.  North Six Mile Irrigation Company is
connected to the reservoir but does not own the reservoir storage rights so they must
exercise extreme caution when diverting water from Six Mile Creek via the reservoir in
dry years to ensure they do not draw on the stored water belonging to others.  This
occurred in 2018.  An owner of reservoir storage shares reportedly received less than
1/3 ac-ft per share in 2018 allotment because someone ”borrowed” from the storage water
and the reservoir apparently never fully recovered in a dry critical year when all of
the storage water was sorely needed by the shareholder.  This is a company issue and a
water right issue to be resolved in properly operating the systems within applicable
water right limits.
