Introduction

This is a web page devoted to the process of developing a ground water management plan for the Cedar Valley and Northern Utah Valley area. Groundwater management plans are created and regulated under Statute 73-5-15 of Utah state law.

Location and Boundary Definition

The boundary of what the State Engineer considers hydrologically connected to Cedar Valley and Northern Utah Valley is available as a PDF printable drawing or as an ArcGIS interactive map.

Water Rights Listing

A listing of groundwater rights within the groundwater management plan area is found here.

Change Application Evaluation Tool

A tool for determining if a proposed change in point of diversion within the groundwater management plan area can be considered for approval is found here.

Plan Development

The following items outline the data that was gathered and work done to develop the groundwater management plan:

  • Public Meetings/Public Comments

    During this process several public meetings were held to present data and solicit public comment. The development and adoption of the plan was a very public process with much needed input from the water community. All public comments were considered and appropriate revisions to the plan were developed. Public comments can be found on the webpages for the meetings listed below.
